I just had a quick day trip to Pilanesberg. Left at 4am and back at  2pm with more than 5 hours in the park, right on our doorstep. The game park that was an afterthought to the establishment of Sun City has now blossomed nicely to be themain event I did the trip with my good friend Chris who is even more fanatical than me about taking good wild life shots. I had the wonderful opportunity to try out the new Canon 500m prime lens. This was an opportunity not to be missed.

This park actually hosts the Big Five although we were only able see three of the beasts plus quite a few  other animals and scenery. Altogether a very good day and yes when the dollars arrive the lens will be high on the list. Enjoy!
